In times of disasters and emergencies, access to safe and clean water becomes one of our greatest lifelines. Recognizing the importance of preparedness, the Municipality of Dumanjug successfully conducted the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Emergencies (WASHIE) Training from July 28–31, 2026.
This four-day capacity-building activity brought together participants from the Municipal Health Office, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO), Municipal Engineering Office and other partner agencies to strengthen emergency response on water safety, sanitation, hygiene promotion and disease prevention.
The training was conducted under the close supervision and technical guidance of the Department of Health (DOH) and the Provincial Health Office (PHO). It also fostered collaboration among neighboring Local Government Units in the 7th District, with active participation from the municipalities of Ronda and Alcantara.
