The name Bisnok is taken from two old Cebuano words, “Bisaya” meaning native from the Visayas and “Manok” meaning chicken. Through street dancing and field presentation, performers shall dance merrily bringing all the Bisnok-performance focused on : the preparation and the cooking of the native chicken known as “Bisnok”. The Bisnok Festival is held on the 4th of October in the town of Dumanjug, province of Cebu.
